After wrapping up with the HedKandi opening night, we took some time out from the cameras to do research on some of our upcoming features. We spent a week working out on the beaches of Playa Den Bossa as ticket sellers for Beach Palace. This was a really great week, as not only did we learn loads about the inner workings of the Island, how tickets get sold, and what the pre parties are all about, but we also got to get up close and personal with the many people that visit Ibiza, and find out what makes them all tick and keep on coming back. After having gone behind the scenes as ticket sellers, we’ve decided we’ll be doing a special feature on ‘Life as a ticket seller’ in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that one!

We also had the pleasure of catching up with Radical Escapes and the Union Boys during the British Student DJ Champs at Ibiza Rocks and Amnesia (video coming soon), and had some very special guests, The Good Luck Crew from SA (who are also producing a lot of the music for our show) catch up with us for an afternoon feed.Check out the crazy dude we saw out in the waters of Playa Den Bossa, in his jet propelled superman suit!

And then, on the 20th June, a very special 10 days began as many of our close friends started arriving on the island for our annual ‘Ibizan Heat Opening Parties Tour.’ First to arrive was none other than SA’s famous Lady Lea and DJ Morgan having just played their album launch with Lucky Life in London, as well as George Sax cruising in by ferry from Parma! We we’re lucky to have them land a few days before the madness began, and so we got to chill out with our SA DJ friends, hit some beaches and also lined up a few sets for them. During their stay, Lea and Morgan played a really amazing daytime beach set at Sands Bar, our pool party at Kanya, Es Vive Experience Bar, Shardana and the Beach Palace pre-party for Tuesdays at Space!

On Friday the 24th of June, we moved back over to San Antonio to the Kanya side of town and prepared for the arrival of 500 party guests. We had some very special guests arriving including: Sam Ravenhall and Daniel Cachia of Lucky Life Australia plus our down under DJ’s Lacey, Soolian and Miss B, our UK DJ’s Opti and Vesna and of course, Lady Lea and DJ Morgan representing us from South Africa! We had the big-bruv Paul K coming in from New York and of course, the Ibizan Heat legends: David Minns, James Edwards, Tobie Allen, Nick The Kid, Sarah Holder, Damo and loads of other familiar friendly faces.

The week was, as you’ll see in the episode, everything it has been for the last ten years and more! 7 days and 7 nights of absolute madness, from Eden to Es Paradis, Space to Amnesia, Kanya to Bora Bora, Mambo to Del Mar and let’s not forget the legendary Ibizan Heat Boat Party! For us at Lucky Life, we had some seriously cool highlights, including hosting a night at Es Vive and a day at Kanya, plus on the TV side, as well as covering every waking partying moment of the tour, backstage at Cream, Amnesia we got to hang out with and interview: Sean Hughes, Gareth Wyn, John O’ Callaghan, Sander Van Doorn and, the legendary Above and Beyond headlining the night.

For those who were there, we loved every minute hanging out and partying with you all, from the quiet times catching the sunset on our balconies, to the madness of 5000 people all on one dance floor!
