2011 has been another flying year for So Called Scumbags; James Edwards & David Minns with the launch of their label Grin Recordings. Their second release of the year 'Punch' has been picked up by non other than Erick Morillo for the Subliminal Invasion compilation and has also been gaining support from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Faithless, Groove Armada & Mark Knight (to name a small few) and making appearances in both the DMC Buzz Chart and Cool Cuts Chart. The dynamic london duo continue to catch the attentions of those in the know.
The summer of 2011 already promises to be the biggest year yet for David & James with appearances lined up at the Southern Sounds festival on Clapham Common as well as their annual tour of Ibiza with 'Heat', which last year saw them take to the decks at the legendary Bora Bora and the year before feature at the Ibiza Rocks hotel for the Manumission pre-party. This year they make their debut on the Space Terrace alongside Fedde Le Grand & Wally Lopez for the 'BE' opening party.
Their monthly residency at Pacha London with Read The Crowd continues throughout the summer as does their own creation.. the third season of Southcity Terrace Parties, an industry event that brings together London's top Promoters, Record Labels, DJ's, Producers and online music media for an outdoor networking event like no other.
With a whole host of remixes on the cards, including Felix Leiter (Hed Kandi), Seb Fontaine & Vern (Mono-Type) Eva (Tommy Boy) & Lizzie Curious (Bootleg Social), the So Called Scumbags show no sign of slowing down and are ones to look out for in the coming months.
The So Called Scumbags are proudly providing music for the Soundtrack to Lucky Life TV and have been now for over 18 months! With some of their best productions now not only on the dancfloors and radio waves, but also on TV, the boys are definitely on their way to the top!
